Situated in the Mabula Private Game Reserve, 2 hours north of Johannesburg, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, is ideally located in a 12000 ha malaria free, "big 5" private game reserve, perfectly cradled in the arms of the Waterberg.

Discreetly tucked away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp pampers its guests in five luxury canvas tents, where romantic oil lamps and home prepared meals served in the thatched Lapa add to this unique 'Out of Africa' experience.

Five luxurious en-suite tents, all raised on platforms and offer generous space between them, maximizing privacy at all times. Located on the tree line of an open plain, the tents’ interiors have been designed spaciously, and soft furnishings follow the lines of strong hues of rich African colour. The bathrooms boast a large stone bath and deluxe shower rose, both of which offer views overlooking the bush. Each tent enjoys a private deck overlooking an open plain allowing for game sightings up close and personal, especially with the camp being positioned in territory that is renowned to be home to Rhino. For those guests who are true romantics, a private deck dinner is a must as too is a breakfast picnic in the fresh early morning air.

On-site activities include the following, however guests have full access to utilise all other activities available at sister lodge Mabula Game Lodge only 20 minutes including their private airstrip for the comfort of a private charter or helicopter transfer.
The Waterberg mountain range snugly cradles the renowned Mabula Private Game Reserve, which is home to a mosaic of exceptional scenic landscapes as well as an abundance of wildlife species. Game viewing is at its best against a backdrop of rivers, streams and stretches of open vistas. Mammal species include big game such as elephant, lion, white and black rhino, hippo, leopard and buffalo. African python and the Nile crocodile are also resident in the reserve which is a birdwatchers’ paradise as well.

Landing strip co-ordinates - Latitude: 24degrees/44 minutes/94 seconds South - Longitude: 27 degrees/55 minutes/46 seconds East Johannesburg International Airport, Transfers to and from the Airport can be arranged on request or you can make your way to Mabula by following Route two.
From CBD Take the N1 north pass Pretoria. Take the Warmbaths turn off and follow the Rooiberg/ Thabazimbi road for 34km before turning right onto a tar road to Mabula.
